About Summit Electric:
 
Owned and operated by Master Electrician Neil Orta, Summit Electric was founded in 2010 leveraging the knowledge, training and experience acquired working as an electrician for more than 26 years.  Fascinated with electricity, Neil began his electrical career as a summer apprentice in a southern California electrical company, which lead to full time employment following high school graduation.  Building upon this knowledge he moved from company to company, expanding the breadth and depth of his knowledge and experience across various aspects of electrical installation, including:  alarm systems, fuel systems, hospitals, grain mills, waste water treatment facilities, industrial controls, residential remodeling, commercial offices, retail stores & restaurants while enrolled in the electrical trade program at Long Beach Community College. 
 
In 1998, Neil joined the IBEW and tested out as a journeyman wireman and continued working his way up to General Foreman.  
 
Relocating to Northern Virginia in 2002, Neil gained employment with a local contractor where he quickly became a lead electrician responsible for the contract providing service to George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate.  In 2006, Neil continued to expand his management experience as a field supervisor for an electrical company.  Enabled by successful achievement of his Electrical Masters License and Class A Contractors License, in 2010 Neil pursued his dream of owning and operating Summit Electric LLC where he has been delivering electrical services with quality, reliability and integrity.
